Multimodal human-computer interaction for, music, dance, or theater performance

New interfaces have been developed that open human/human and human/computer communication to other modalities equipped with extended forms of expression. In VIDA, the following modalities have been specifically investigated through art-science collaborations: Virtual humans with a particular interest for affective communication, audio-graphic interactive environments, augmented traditional instruments, new musical instruments through gesture analysis and digital augmentation of singing voice.
