The group investigates
- problems with heat- or mass-
transfers through an interface located between a fluid and a solid
,
- or
phenomena or processes
the dynamic of which is mastered by such a transfer.
In many cases, these transfers are
coupled and they involve
several scales.
Our topics are: two-phase flows,
the Kapitza resistance and heat transfers at nanoscale,
oscillating fluids especially in thermoacoustic situations,
and applied natural convection.
The experimental aspects are strong in the group, most often related to
modellings and numerical simulations.
